Have you ever been to a New Launch Showflat and hear this term T.O.P? What does T.O.P means?
T.O.P is abbreviation for Temporary Occupation Period. It is a temporary permit that allows residents to live in a condominium that is habitable but isn't fully completed. In other words, is when the authorities has inspected and deem the building safe for occupancy, only then will the developer be permitted to handover the keys to the new owner.
However, note the word temporary. The development still need to obtain Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC) in order to be cleared completely by authorities.
